Discover Your Leadership Voice
What does it take to lead at altitude?
Where do you find the time to grow yourself and your team?
The best leaders in the world lead themselves to higher levels by calibrating support and challenge for themselves and their teams. We call them 100X Leaders – leaders who are moving towards 100% health and who have learned how to multiply what they know into the lives of those they lead.
To explain this, we use the metaphor of a Sherpa on Mt. Everest. The Sherpa people have a genetic predisposition to higher altitudes which means they can climb higher and longer than normal climbers. They actually have the ability to lead themselves and others up the mountain.
This is what defines a leader — doing their own work while helping others do their work for the benefit of all.
Leading at the highest level is tough, but not insurmountable. The reason you struggle to develop leaders isn’t because you aren’t smart enough or strong enough or young/old enough. It’s not because you’re not enough. It’s simply because you haven’t been trained in leadership, you haven’t been given the right tools, the proven strategies to overcome each of your challenges and become a leader others love to follow.
You can become a Leader Worth Following
I never dreamed that I would get to work with high caliber leaders at every level. My 23 year Navy career was focused on leadership development and I had every intention of pursuing Health Care Administration. Then, 3 years before I retired from the Navy, I was sitting down with a local leader talking about how to lead his staff and I realized something. He had been given tons of training, guidance and tools on running a business and almost no training, guidance or coaching on leadership. He felt like everyone was waiting for him to lead and he had never been told what to do.
That day I realized my dream was to help leaders go from being a superstar to multiplying superstars. So, I got my Master’s Degree in leadership, and joined a multi-site church staff and got to work. A few years later I realized that I was called to leaders outside the church who could use my help. I pursued certification as a GiANT worldwide coach and a Working Genius facilitator and started consulting with organizations to develop their leaders.
I know the struggle of trying to develop your own leadership. And what it takes to develop the leaders of tomorrow. That is what I did in the Navy. And that is what I can help you do.
Using the GiANT framework, we will take your leadership to the next level and you will become a leader worth following.
One day the phone rings....
Imagine if one day your phone rings and the name on the screen is a team member you led 10 years ago. They say, "I just wanted to call and thank you. I have gone farther in my life and leadership than I ever thought possible, and that is because you invested in me." What if you knew exactly how to get there. What if every day you woke up with the motivation to grow as a leader, because your team was pushing you to lead at your best. Imagine, just for a moment, that you don’t have to constantly recruit new leaders, because your team is developing leaders from within. Sounds far fetched, I know, but it’s possible when you have the tools and support to become a leader worth following.
